ICL/IPCL

Intraocular contact lens ICL(EVO)・IPCL

Vision restoration without corneal ablation

Intraocular Contact Lens Therapy is a treatment in which a lens is placed inside the eye to correct vision. The lens is placed into a space of the eye directly behind the iris and in front of the natural lens, so it is not visible from the outside. This is a non-abrasive method of correcting vision and is expected to produce brilliant, clear vision with less dry eye and nighttime haloes and glare, as well as excellent long-term stability. We offer two types of lenses to choose from: Starr Japan's ICL lens and EyeOL's IPCL lens.

Biocompatibility material

The lens that is placed inside the eye is made of a soft, colorless, transparent material similar to soft contact lenses. It also has the function of blocking harmful ultraviolet rays. The lenses can be used semi-permanently.

Maintenance free / Can be removed

The lenses in the eye do not smear or become dirty and do not require daily cleaning or maintenance. There is no rattling sensation in the eye. If the need arises after treatment, the lens can be removed and returned to its original state.

Day treatment and fast recovery.

Intraocular Contact Lens Therapy treatment involves placing the lenses into the eye with a special instrument. Anesthesia is only required with eye drops, so it is painless. In addition, the wound is small (approximately 3 mm), so recovery is quick and can be done on a day trip. No sutures or stitches are required.

Large optics without corneal ablation

Compared to LASIK, with intraocular contact lens treatment, the cornea is not ablated, so the shape of the cornea is virtually unchanged. In addition, because the optics are large, haloes and glare, which can be problematic at night, are suppressed, resulting in excellent vision.

Will not affect future treatment of eye diseases

Intraocular contact lens can be removed and returned to their original state, so there is no need to limit treatment options in the event of cataracts or other eye diseases in the future.
