LASIK

LASIK is a popular and safe refractive surgery

The surgery takes approximately 10 minutes.
You will feel no pain and your vision will be restored immediately.

LASIK is the most widely performed refractive surgery in the world, using an excimer laser to remove a portion of the cornea to correct myopia and astigmatism, and has become as popular a correction method as spectacles and contact lenses.

LASIK restoration of naked eye visual acuity

The improved vision is usually
considered semi-permanent.

How much will LASIK improve my eyesight? This is perhaps the most important question. According to the data, more than 90% of myopic patients with a naked eye vision of 0.1 or less have their vision restored to 1.0 or better, and more than 97% have their vision restored to 0.7 or better. There is another secret to this high success rate. Before undergoing LASIK surgery, patients undergo a thorough fitting examination, and only those who are deemed suitable for the surgery are operated on after the effectiveness and safety of the procedure have been verified in the preliminary examination.

Excimer Laser MEL90 Carl Zeiss

The excimer laser is a special high-energy laser that can make precise incisions and ablations with almost no thermal degeneration (burning) of living tissue. LASIK uses this laser to ablate the corneal parenchyma, changing the curvature of the front surface of the cornea. The shape of the cornea can be precisely adjusted using a computer-controlled excimer laser.

The procedure

Almost no pain after the operation.
The patient can see relatively well from the day after surgery.

After anaesthesia, a flap is created with a microkeratome. The flap is turned over and a laser is used to ablate the cornea for ten seconds according to the degree of myopia and astigmatism, based on the data entered into the computer. After the laser ablation, the flap is replaced to complete the procedure. There is almost no pain after the operation and the patient can see relatively well from the day after the operation.

PRK

A surgical procedure in which the corneal epithelium is removed by softening with alcohol and myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia are corrected by laser ablation. After surgery, the patient wears contact lenses for a few days to allow the epithelial cells to regenerate. Sight is restored as the epithelial cells regenerate. This surgery is suitable for people who are involved in martial arts such as boxing, have thin corneas or high myopia. The price is the same as LASIK, but regular checks are carried out the next day, 3 days later, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months and 6 months.
